From Frown to "Superchill"

Muscles in the eyebrows responsible for headaches

There is a muscle in our eyebrows called the corrugator supercilii. A patient of ours referred to it as the 'superchill muscle.' It is responsible for frowning by bringing the eyebrows together. Like other muscles, it can become sore and tight. For people who tend to frown, you may experience pain or discomfort around the eyebrows, which could lead to insomnia or chronic headaches. In some extreme cases, where a patient has an unresolved headache, this muscle may need to be surgically removed.

If you feel like you're experiencing some of these symptoms, please give us a call. With a combination of soft tissue work, specialized stretching techniques, and dry needling, we can manage the symptoms of this muscle very well, all without pain medications or surgery.

Let's take care of this supercilii muscle so you can feel "superchill".
